A construction project has started in the parking lot at Clearspring Centre in Steinbach. Gerald Jeske, general manager of the mall, outlines what is happening.

"A new addition will be built in front of the Staples building. The new building will be used for two new, exciting additions to Steinbach. Construction of the shell of the building will be completed by the end of the year and the turnover to the tenants will occur after that."

Jeske says he is not sure how long it will take for the tenants to install their fixtures before opening for business, but anticipates it will be a matter of months after the building is turned over to them. He adds he is not yet at liberty to say who the new tenants are. Jeske says the two outlets will each have about 1,800 square feet of space.

As part of this project, the service road to Ledingham GM will be relocated to between Staples and the new building. Jeske says that road work will happen later on in the project.
