Steinbach mayoral candidate Paul Neustaedter made an announcement Wednesday at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre.

(Paul Neustaedter following Wednesday's announcement at Pat Porter Active Living Centre.)"For the people of the Pat Porter Active Living Centre today I announced that if I am elected Mayor that they don't have to worry anymore about that thirteen thousand dollar tax property bill that they have," announced Neustaedter. "We're going to make sure that's looked after for them if elected."

Neustaedter says he will wait until after being elected Mayor, to announce how he plans to do this but has committed that it will be done at no cost to taxpayers in Steinbach and will also not take away from other programs.

Neustaedter says promoting active living should be a priority for council as it reduces costs for health care and helps people live longer.
