Steinbach Fire Department was called to a vehicle fire at the Tim Hortons on Highway 12 north at 8:25 am.

Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Mike Penner says the vehicle was in the drive thru when the driver noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. 

Penner adds a worker from Tim Hortons quickly handed the driver a fire extinguisher and he put out the fire before they arrived on scene.

Penner notes the truck was already pushed out of the drive thru away from the building by the time they arrived and there were no injuries.
