Fourteen local charities will have a few extra dollars in their bank accounts as they head into the Christmas season.

As has become an annual tradition, the Steinbach MCC Community Assistance Centre announced Friday that they would be donating several thousands of dollars back into their community.

“We have a total of $46,000 that will be dispersed in varying amounts,” states Executive Director Jason Hiebert. “Every year, the MCC Board thoughtfully looks at each organization that applies and gives back as they feel is needed.”

This year, that money will be distributed between fourteen non-profits, each with their own objective.
