A construction project has started on Highway #23 at the Marsh River, 16 kilometres west of Highway #59.

Manitoba Infrastructure says it is replacing the bridge, a project that will take about 18 months. The work includes installing three new steel spans plus reinforced concrete at a cost of $8.25 million.

It says no detours will be required as the existing infrastructure will be used throughout the project.

Completion is scheduled for the fall of 2019.
