Oakbank RCMP have released the photo of a male who is wanted for a string of thefts and break-ins. They report between July 4 and October 19, there were a series of mail thefts, thefts from vehicles and break and enters. Investigators eventually linked these incidents to a series of identity frauds and forged documents. They allege a suspect went to several financial institutions in Winnipeg and surrounding areas and opened false bank accounts under a false name. The accounts were opened using forged government identification.

Warrants have now been issued for 42-year-old Emery Peter Smith of Winnipeg who is wanted for 17 offences. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 141 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
