The Reeve of La Broquerie says council is looking forward to finalizing their new development plan and zoning bylaw in early 2019.

Lewis Weiss says they have been working hard to complete both the development plan and zoning bylaw for a while now and developers are eager to move forward with the proposed plans. He notes council is very optimistic about growth in the municipality this coming year.

"I think consistently we have been growing so I think that will continue obviously. Looking forward to working with developers and people with different expansions."

Weiss says there are also many other reasons to be excited for 2019. He notes in last October’s municipal election, two new councilors were elected and they are looking forward to working together for a whole calendar year.

"It wasn't much of a change, just two new people on there. Every new person will give a little bit of a different look into what we are doing but I think we will work well together."
