The La Broquerie Fire Department responded to vehicle fire between the fire hall and Wiess Auto off of Highway 52 just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire Captain Darren Dundas says a single vehicle was on fire near a storage facility when the fire department arrived.

“The gentleman pulled his car outside and was letting it warm up outside and he came back approximately 15 minutes later and saw it was on fire, called us, no damage other than to the car.”

Dundas says the fire department was able to contain the fire quickly, but the vehicle is a write-off.
