A big day for the town of Niverville.

More than $11 million in provincial and federal funding was announced Friday morning to construct a multiplex.

The 99,000 square foot Community Resource Centre will be built on Arena Road, next to the new Niverville high school. It will include a performing arts centre, not-for-profit community childcare centre, field house, leisure activity spaces, an indoor play area, arena, meeting rooms and community common areas.

The federal government is contributing up to $7.8 million, the provincial government up to $3.5 million and the town of Niverville up to $8.2 million for a total of $19.5 million.
