Honking and protesting were the sights and sounds on Main Street in Steinbach Thursday afternoon.

A woman and her brother from St. Adolphe put up signs in the median, asking for people to honk if they love their children. Lisa says she and her brother held signs to raise awareness for the unfair treatment of her four kids in foster care.

Another reason for her signs, Lisa says, "Parents should stand together for our kids, and for our rights as parents." She says she would like her brother to have visitation with her kids and would like her parents to have the ability to visit them outside of a confined space, and to be able to spend time outdoors.

Lisa came to Steinbach because she was told an investigation was being held at the Steinbach Child and Family Services office. She and her brother were in the middle boulevard on Main Street from about 1:30 until 4 pm.
