Environment Canada has issued a heavy snowfall warning for southeastern Manitoba. It says the snow will start later this morning as a low-pressure system moves in from the Dakotas. The warning predicts up to 20 centimetres or 8 inches of snow before the system moves out this evening. There is also a chance of freezing rain near the Canada-U.S. border.

  • R.M. of Ritchot incl. St. Adolphe and Ste. Agathe
  • R.M. of Ste. Anne incl. Richer
  • R.M. of Stuartburn incl. Zhoda Vita and Sundown
  • R.M. of Tache incl. Lorette Ste-Geneviève and Landmark

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.Snow, at times heavy, beginning this morning and ending this evening over southeastern Manitoba.A low pressure system approaching from the Dakotas will bring heavy snow to southeastern Manitoba with accumulations of 15-20 cm, with locally higher amounts, expected. Along with the heavy snow, freezing rain may occur toward the international border. The snow will begin this morning and taper off this evening as the system exits the area.
