The patches of grass showing through the dusting of snow the Southeast received last week may not be visible for long.

Environment Canada is calling for increasing cloudiness Sunday with a high of +1ºC and then there's snow expected starting in the evening. Five centimetres of snow is forecast to fall with a risk of freezing rain as the temperature stays steady near -1ºC.

Starting the week, a 60% chance of snow and blowing snow Monday afternoon as the wind picks up with gusts as fast as 70 km/hr. Temperature will fall to -5ºC. The 60% of snow is forecast to carry through Monday night into Tuesday morning. Tuesday is looking to be a windy day with the last day's snowfall blowing throughout the Southeast and a high of -9ºC.

Conditions are expected to clear Tuesday evening and then a clear, sunny sky is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday with highs of -12ºC and -5ºC resectively before a small chance of snow shows up Thursday evening.
