A woman from Lorette is enjoying her fame today after she provided, what some are calling, one of ‘the most iconic game show moments’ Thursday night.
Eve Dubois, along with her family from Lorette, was featured in two episodes of the new Canadian version of Family Feud this week. It was during their sudden death at the end of their second night on television, however, when Eve’s flamboyant answer created this iconic moment.
When asked to name Popeye’s favourite food, Eve instinctively answered with tremendous flair, “Chickennnn”. The correct answer, of course, was spinach. It ended her family’s time on the game show but launched Eve into the world of viral videos, celebrity tweets, and instant fame.
Eve, you were the best!! I have asked many younger people the same question and they also said, “chicken”. It was a sweet and innocent mistake caused by a generation gap and everyone is loving the way you handled it. Thanks for being such a great sport.

Eve has been owning her mistake and making the most out of it, taking the day off work on Friday to field phone calls and email from media across North America.
“It’s wild. The craziest thing. It’s literally blown up so fast and I’m speechless.”
Friday afternoon, recognizing the incredible benefit they are seeing from Eve Dubois’ newfound fame, Popeye’s Canada awarded her $10,000 in chicken via Twitter.

“This was an experience of the lifetime for me and my family and I’m so happy that we did it. I never knew this would come out of it and I’m glad it did because… free chicken for life!”
