The Town of Ste Anne has added a stop sign to relieve the residents along Caledonia Road.

“We have a lot of residents along that road that have been making inquiries at the office,” says Chief Administrative Officer Marc Darker

According to Darker, points of contention include increased traffic, noise, and dust, as well as, speeding and deterioration from overuse.

The over-usage, he expresses, is mainly from surrounding residents looking to bypass the Town on their way to Highway 1. Still, getting the issue resolved required Council to collaborate with the RM.

“The road itself belongs to the RM of Ste Anne,” explains Darker, “but the Town of Ste Anne borders on it, and uses that road.”

idents worked on both sides,” offers Darker, “and hopefully we can do that with more projects in the future here.”
