Summer in the City has taken one more step closer to bringing the festival back to Steinbach's Main Street.

The June 17th Friday night headliner was announced this morning.

"We're so thrilled to be able to get them because they are really sought after," says Pollock. "The band is Absolute Queen. They're a Queen tribute band. They are probably the top Queen tribute band in North America."

Saturday night has a country theme and the Hunter Brothers will be ready to entertain on June 18. In fact, they've been ready for a couple of years.

Back in December of 2019, it was announced that the Hunter Brothers would headline the 2020 country show for Summer in the City. They have chosen to honour their contract even when the dates were changed, more than once.

Worship in the City will return to the Main Stage this year for a full day of local gospel and other religious performances.

Online application forms have gone live on the SITC website. Pollock is asking vendors, artists and performers to start submitting applications and registrations. Deadlines are fast approaching.

The first deadline is April 1 for Culture stage performer applications.
