RCMP are investigating a reported child luring incident that took place Tuesday in St. Jean Baptiste.

According to RCMP, the complainant, a 9-year-old girl, says she was approached by a man in a pick-up truck as she was walking home from school. The driver reportedly told her to "get in" to which she replied "no" and continued to head home.

Officers from the Morris RCMP detachment patrolled the area but could not locate the suspect vehicle, and are now examining surveillance footage from the area.

RCMP say the girl described the truck as a "kind of dirty" black pick-up with some rust on the bottom of the driver's door.

The driver was said to be a clean-shaven Caucasian and wearing a black touque, black sunglasses, and dark winter clothes.

The matter remains under investigation.
