The province announced earlier this month that Manitoba residents are able to stay in a campsite only with those currently living in their home.

The current health order prohibits visitors to private households both indoors and outdoors.  And when it comes to campsites, the province considers a campsite as a temporary place of accommodation.  Therefore, campers are allowed to have one household per campsite.

Current health orders restrict indoor and outdoor gatherings to household contacts only.

People visiting from out of province must self-isolate for 14 days or the duration of their stay if it is less than 14 days. Those people cannot self-isolate at a campsite, unless they are residents of Manitoba and their vehicle or trailer is their permanent residence in Manitoba and will be staying at one location for the duration of their stay. They must isolate themselves at their campsite without leaving their RV or camper trailer without interacting with other people.

Gathering sizes are restricted to 5 people outdoors in public spaces and face masks must be worn in all public indoor areas like washrooms, shelters, offices, and visitor centres.

These current health orders are in place over the May long weekend and are set to expire on May 26, 2021
