Provencher MP Ted Falk says there was plenty to talk about in Ottawa this past week as the Sitting of Parliament resumed following the six-week Christmas break. As we related Friday, the big issue involved several politicians facing allegations of sexual misconduct. But Falk says that wasn't the only subject.

Ted Falk"Of course we're, as opposition members, trying to hold the Prime Minister accountable for the illegal vacation that he took to the Bahamas. What we've been doing is pressing the Prime Minister to do what other Ministers in his caucus have been forced to do. You know it's not only an admission of guilt and saying I'm sorry, but then it's also making amends for the wrong that you've committed and to pay back the taxpayers for the cost of the travel that he incurred and the benefits that he received."

Falk adds the Conservatives also continued to pressure the Liberal Government to withdraw a new requirement in the application form for the Canada Summer Jobs program where applicants must attest that they support all human rights including abortion. He adds more and more people are opposing the government on this.

"We've heard from many, many employers from right across Canada, not just faith group organizations or pro-life organizations, but these are organizations on the other side of the coin that have said that this values test that the Liberal Government and Justin Trudeau are imposing upon people is just not right and it's actually a violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms."
