The Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer of Niverville have been given special authority by town council to act quickly should government funding come through for the proposed Community Resource Centre, or multiplex. Mayor Myron Dyck explains such funding can often come with tight deadlines and they may need to move quickly.

"We passed that the Mayor and the CAO have the right to enter into an agreement as such a time as financing comes for the CRC. If we have to act quickly, we can enter into an agreement with the builder. And, the builder that has now been chosen form the short list is Von Ast construction of Niverville. It (the choice of the builder) is not a political decision of council, it is done by the company that we hired to vet all entries. I think we had nine in total."

Meanwhile, Dyck says town council has developed a fee schedule for various sponsorship opportunities at the new centre. For example, naming rights for the field house and the arena would go for $500,000 each and the cost to sponsor each of the 1,000 seats would be $1,000 apiece. See the full list of sponsorship opportunities below.

The proposed Community Resource Centre would be built at the west end of town, next to the new high school that is under construction.
