2018 has been a big year for the Steinbach Pistons and Head Coach Paul Dyck says they are working to make 2019 just as good.

With the team enjoying Christmas break, Dyck says there is a lot to be thankful for looking back over the year. He notes back in January the team kicked into overdrive and they started to see their potential. He notes all the work paid off.

“We had a special run going into the playoffs and a very determined group and able to accomplish our first goal of winning the Turnbull Cup and then moving on the ANAVET which was a tremendous experience and then going through an exciting and dramatic series there with Nipawin and then being able to advance to RBC was very special for our organization.”

Dyck says their ultimate goal this season is to repeat the success of last season.

“We'd like to see our players continue to develop both on and off the ice and we have been seeing that. Our team has been slowly coming together as a group and we want to be very closely connected with our community again in 2019.”

Dyck thanks the entire organization for their incredible support.

“I am really grateful, personally, for the people that I work with and for the leadership we have from our board down and for our fan base. It doesn't go unnoticed, we are really appreciative of the support we get here in Steinbach and how passionate our fans are about our product and the Pistons.”
