The visiting SRSS Sabres knew they were in tough Friday night when they faced St. Paul’s in the Crusaders annual homecoming game.

The Winnipeg High School Football League’s defending ANAVET Bowl champions rolled to a 39-0 lead by halftime and defeated the Sabres 59-0 in front of a huge crowd of Crusaders alumni, family and fellow students at St. Paul’s High School.

SRSS quarterback Sawyer Thiessen completed just four of 19 passes for 75 yards.

Payton Falk had 60 yards of total offense.

Isaac Dokken and Jayden Pozniak recorded six tackles each.

The Sabres saw their record fall to 1-3 in the WHSFL’s Potter Conference.

Steinbach Regional’s next game is Thursday, October 4th in Winnipeg against the Sisler Spartans.
