The Red River Wild are one win away from capturing their third Carillon Senior Hockey League championship.

Marc Sabourin scored a shorthanded goal 2:36 into overtime to lift Red River past Ste. Anne 6-5 Thursday night in St. Jean.

The Wild now lead the best-of-seven final three games to one.

"I'm not a goal scorer," said Sabourin shortly after the end of game four. "I just saw a little bit of net, saw the defenseman in front so I just ripped it as hard as I could and luckily it went in."

Tyler Pchajek had a hat trick for Red River.

Matt Mazinke and Paul Remillard had the other two Wild goals.

Yvan Pattyn, Carson McCallum, Justin Tremblay, Brent Wold and Colan Jackson replied for the Aces.

Jackson's goal with 3:25 left in regulation tied the game at 5-5.

Ste. Anne outshot Red River 16-2 in the third period and had a number of quality scoring chances that either missed the net or was stopped by Wild goaltender Marshall Cox.

"It's kind of been the story of the series but the good news is every game we've been getting better," said Aces coach Kevin Lansard. "I just think we're going to have our best game yet."

Game five goes Saturday night in Ste. Anne and Red River coach Mike Gilmore says the Wild are going to see an Aces team that will be on a mission to keep their season alive.

"It's no secret that they're going to have (Guy) St. Vincent back and Steph (Pattyn) so their team just gets better all of a sudden," Gilmore said. "We'll hope for the best."
