The Providence Pilots futsal teams had wins in Brandon over the weekend.

On Saturday the women's team won 4-2 over the Brandon University Bobcats and hours later took the Assiniboine Community College Cougars 5-0. Meanwhile, the men's team had a 7-6 win over the Cougars after a 5-5 draw with the Bobcats.

“We came into Saturday feeling good about our week’s practice, and we showed some great growth and maturity coming off a tough loss [to l’Universite de Saint-Boniface],” says women’s head coach Tory Walker.

In volleyball, the women's team won 15-13 in the fifth set after dropping the first two frames. The men's team lost 15-6 in the fifth.

“This was a great match to be a part of,” notes head coach Scott Masterson. “This is the kind of volleyball we need to be playing at this point of the season, and hopefully we can keep building from here to finish the season strong.”

Meanwhile, in basketball, the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference schedules concluded and both the men's and women's teams saw losses to the Red River College Rebels. The men's team were defeated 88-71 and 72-60, the women fell 60-43 and 60-55.
