The Red River Mudbugs need just one more win to capture their first Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League championship.

Tristen Dueck and Troy Lehmann scored two goals each as Red River defeated the Hawks 6-2 Wednesday night in St. Adolphe.

Austin Gilmore and Adam Zalluski also scored for the Mudbugs who lead the best-of-seven final three games to none.

Eric Lebrun and Daniel Nychok replied for the Hawks who trailed 1-0 after the first period and 5-2 after 40 minutes.

Red River goaltender Gavin Klassen made 40 saves in game three.

St. Adolphe netminder Eric Trudeau faced 38 shots.

The Mudbugs have outscored the Hawks 18-5 in the series.

Game four goes Saturday (7:30 p.m.) in St. Adolphe.
