The Steinbach Millers won gold at the MacGregor Midget Hockey Tournament this past weekend.

The Millers began the tourney with a 7-2 loss to the host team and outscored Winnipegosis 6-4 to finish second in their pool.

Tieghan Funk scored in overtime as Steinbach edged Rivers 5-4 in the semifinals. The Millers then defeated Gimli 3-1 in the championship game.

It's the second tournament win for the Steinbach this season as the Millers captured the Morris Minor Hockey Tournament in December.
