The Winnipeg Jets have suffered back-to-back home ice losses for the first time this season.

Jimmy Vesey scored the go-ahead goal with 3:53 remaining in the third period as the N.Y. Rangers defeated Winnipeg 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Bell MTS Place.

Michael Grabner sealed the deal for the visitors as he scored into a empty net with 43 seconds left in regulation.

Jets captain Blake Wheeler said Henrik Lundqvist, who stopped 36 shots including all 16 he faced in the third period, was solid in net for the Rangers.

"He played well. Made some saves that were big and gave them an opportunity to win the game."

Mats Zuccarello opened the scoring for New York late in the first period.

Nikolaj Ehlers had the lone goal for the Jets who dropped a 5-2 decision to the St. Louis Blues on Friday.

Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 25 saves.

The Jets (32-15-9) are 3-2-1 on their 10-game homestand which continues Tuesday against the Washington Capitals.
