The La Broquerie Habs are the Eastman Minor Hockey League's Pee Wee C champions.

The Habs swept the Niverville/St. Agathe Clippers in two straight in the best-of-three final winning both games by identical 5-2 scores.

"It's amazing," said coach Pat Tetrault. "I believe there has never been an all-girls team competing in a Co-Ed Division that have won a banner and I believe that's history in the making. It's a historic moment for Eastman and a pretty huge accomplishment for this group."

La Broquerie goaltender Orie Kennedy stopped 14 of 15 shots in the second period and the Habs scored three unanswered third period goals in game two.

"We had a lot of second-year girls who have been together for four years and our goaltender was terrific in net for us," said coach Tetrault. "Niverville/St. Agathe poured it on in the second period both games and Orie shut the door basically allowing us to come back in the third in both games. If it wouldn't have been for our goalie, Tuesday especially she kept that door closed and allowed the rest of the girls to step up in the third and get the victory."

La Broquerie had 13 wins, two losses and two ties during the regular season schedule and a 2-1-1 record in the round robin portion of the playoffs before winning their last two games of the season and the Eastman Minor Hockey League's Pee Wee C championship banner.

This Habs team consisted of 12 skaters all from La Broquerie and goaltender Orie Kennedy from Ste. Anne.

The core group has been together for the last four years, they started competing in the Eastman Atom C division, and then moved on to the Pee Wee C Division last year.
