The Winnipeg Jets defeated Edmonton 4-3 Monday night and completed a four-game sweep of the Oilers in round one of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

It marked the first time in franchise history the Jets swept a playoff series and the second time Winnipeg has reached round two since relocating from Atlanta in 2011.

After a 4-1 victory in Edmonton in the series opener, Winnipeg won games two, three and four thanks to overtime goals by Paul Stastny, Nikolaj Ehlers and Kyle Connor.

Connor scored the winner at 6:52 of the third overtime period in game four.

At 106 minutes and 52 seconds, it was the longest game in Jets/Atlanta Thrashers history.

Reigning Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck stopped 151 of 159 shots in the series.
