Basketball Manitoba's 2017 Awards Banquet and All-Star Games were held this past weekend in Winnipeg.

Quintin Sylvester and Katelin Thiessen of Ross L. Gray School in Sprague were named "A" Players of the Year.

Sylvester & Thiessen were the Most Valuable Players of their respective Provincial "A" High School Varsity Basketball Championships that the Raiders won last month in Gladstone and Hamiota.

Kevin Zebrasky and Frances Lerma of the Raiders were named to the "A/AA/AAA" All-Manitoba First Team along with Kaan Bitchok of Lorette.

Cyrus O'Connor and Rachel Brown of Ross L. Gray and Jeremy Reimer of Steinbach Christian were named to the Second Team.

Darryl Pederson of the Raiders was named the "A" Girls Coach of the Year.

Sylvester, Thiessen, Zebrasky, Lerma, O'Connor, Brown, Bitchok, Reimer along with Seung Gu Kang, Liam Buhler and Chelsea Olifirowich of Steinbach Christian, Riley Fast of Niverville and Haleigh Zimmerman of Ross L. Gray were selected to play in Basketball Manitoba's Graduating All-Star Games.
