The Steinbach Pistons ran wild over the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday night and rattled off six straight goals on route to an 8-2 win.

The Pistons got off to a strong start as the MJHL's Player of the Month Mack Graham put home a lose puck with assists going to the newest Piston Wyatt Hinson and Bradley Schoonbaert. Less then three minutes later, it was the captain Jordan Bochinski finding the back of the net on the power play from Braden Purtill and Tyler Anderson. At the midway point of the period, it looked like the Pistons were in control. Swan showed no quit and stormed back to tie the game at 2-2 before the period came to an end.

In the second period, Steinbach took the game over. Braden Purtill picked up his first as a Steinbach Piston from Bochinski and Tyler Anderson. The Pistons continued the onslaught as Darby Gula rifled home a beautiful wrist shot to make it 4-2 from Landon Plett and Tyson McConnell and then just over a minute later, Bochinski scored again on the power play from Purtill and Tyler Anderson. The horn sounded with Steinbach in front 5-2.

In the third, Steinbach continued to pile it on as Schoonbaert took a perfect drop pass from Mack Graham and made a terrific move sliding home the puck for a 6-2 lead with Will Koop getting the other assist. Drew Anderson continued the scoring for Steinbach from Vaughn Dupre and Hinson. Tyler Anderson then capped off the night for himself and the Pistons after a terrific pass from Landon Plett and Carter Chorney to finish off an 8-2 win.

Roman Bengert continued to impress in the crease making several big saves throughout the game and finished with 29 on the night. Steinbach fired 47 shots of their own. The power play clicked 2-5 and the penalty kill finished 4-4.
