Lawn and Garden Journal Header

Snow has fallen a few times this month, and a crispness to the air seems to be staying.

Gardening outdoors has now come to an end. Perennials, trees and shrubs are nestled in, and are adjusting to the temperatures for a long winter’s rest. But does gardening stop? No! it just shifts to the longing to keep the scent of soil, and to have green plants around us. The shift is to begin growing plants indoors. Creations of succulent planters, planting of seasonal bulbs like amaryllis bulbs, and sourcing holiday plants like Christmas cactus, poinsettia and mini cypress trees come into focus.

I guess our green thumbs are still itching for the sense of caring for everything green. Happy gardening ….. indoors now!
