This year's Southeast Open Judged Art Exhibit was a celebration of artwork by over 80 local artists from the Southeast. An estimated 150 people attended the exhibit opening on Friday, April 11th. Our open judged exhibit was open to all amateur artists in the southeast region and to all art mediums. Steinbach Arts Council is pleased to be able to expose the artwork of local artists and share it with the community. Thank you to Mayor Chris Goertzen who brought greetings on behalf of the City of Steinbach, Member of Parliament Mr. Ted Falk, MLA Kelvin Goertzen, and Lynn Lemoine from the Children & Youth Opportunities Division of the Recreation and Regional Services Eastman Region. Thanks to our other dignitaries Reeve Bernie Stahn from the RM of Hanover, and Rick Ardies Superintendent of Hanover School Division. These exhibits would not be possible without the support and donations from our community businesses. A very special thank you to Dennis and Linda Schroeder of Good 'n' Natural, our sponsor for this year's Open Judged Exhibit. The Southeast Open Art Exhibit will be on display until May 16, 2014. Come and check it out at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre Hall Gallery, 304 Second Street.
