This year's 'Celebrate the Arts' Gala Fundraiser featured Trev Schellenberg and Corny Rempel as emcees/entertainment. Getting rid of their formal attire, our comical emcees revealed 70s costumes and sang a medley of music leading us through the decades. They were joined by dancers from XCOMPANY. Other entertainment included Sheila Ardies singing "Climb Every Mountain" from The Sound of Music, dancing by Harry & Lorna Warkentin and Ken & Cheryl Barkman, and a photo booth by Kathy Harder from Soul Pix. Unique creations were auctioned off this year. Hand painted by our 'celebrity artists' Crystal Hildebrandt; Radio Station Manager, Brian Guenther; Steinbach Golf Head Pro, and Graham Pollock; Pistons Assistant Coach, guests also voted for their favorite planter design. The award went to Brian Guenther. A jewelry tombola and Fine Art Auction were a part of our Gala again this year. A big thanks to our local artists for their donation of artwork, and to this year's Gala sponsors Ernie & Linda Penner, Appelt's Diamonds, Country Meat Deli, David Banman & Anne Barkman, Derksen Printers, Let's Celebrate Rentals, Signex, Steinbach's Flooring Canada and Valeant Pharmaceuticals. And thanks to our 35th anniversary sponsor Three Way Builders, and our 35th anniversary Treble Teens sponsor Golden West Radio. Thanks to our local community and guests who made this year's Gala Fundraiser such a success!
