The Hanover Ag. Society continues to work on turning the exhibition park in Grunthal into a place that can easily be used throughout the year.

And President Curtis Dawydiuk says the vision is to have the place used as much as possible, during every season.

“There was a vision many years ago of expanding and making it a year-round facility venue and we're starting to see some of that fruit,” he says. “It's really exciting.”

Fundraising is still happening for the community kitchen project which will cost around $300,000.

This space will allow community groups to rent the facility throughout the year.

"We’re in various facets of entertainment and we just worked hard to set up our facilities in such a way that we can run multiple stuff at the same time as well as cater to different crowds,” says Dawydiuk. “It's been great.”

The summer months are very busy at the Hanover Ag. grounds with a variety of public events as well as private functions.

Still to come this summer, the Buckles and Boots Rodeo and Dance, and the Farm to Table Market. Hanover Ag’s Bull Riders Canada Invitational is being planned for next month. It will be part of The Hanover Ag Fair.

Dawydiuk says they are bringing back the Back Porch Jam concert series. The first show will take place on July 19 with The Cracked Eggshell.
