On Municipal Election day, here's what you need to know and where to go. 

Southeastern Manitoba residents go to the polls on Wednesday, October 26.

The following is the most up-to-date information from Elections Manitoba and local returning officers.

WHEN CAN I VOTE? 
Wednesday, October 26 from 8am to 8pm

WHO CAN VOTE?  
For residents of southeastern Manitoba, you need to be a Canadian Citizen, and a resident of Manitoba for at least six months before election day. You need to be 18 years of age on or before election day. 

WHAT MUST I BRING WITH ME TO THE VOTING STATION?  
Everyone must show ID to vote. Voters who are on the voter's list but don't have the required ID may have someone vouch for them. 
1 piece of ID a driver's license or enhanced Manitoba ID card, a Passport or Treaty Card.  You may also bring at least two of the following: Manitoba Health Card, Social Insurance Card, Utility Bill or Credit Card.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I VOTE? 
Once you arrive at your voting place, an election official will direct you to your voting station.
Take your ballot behind the screen and mark an X beside the name(s) of the candidate(s) of your choice. 
Return your folded ballot to the Election Official who will check to see that his/her initials are on the back of the folded ballot. You may then place your ballot in the box or the Election Official can do it for you. 

WHERE DO I GO TO VOTE? 

STEINBACH 

In-person voting for City Council will take place at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre, 10 Chrysler Gate, Steinbach from 8am to 8pm

In-person voting for HSD Trustee will take place at the Hanover School Division Office, 5 Chrysler Gate, Steinbach from 8am to 8pm

Mobile Voting for the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, a Mobile Voting Station will be set up for those who reside at the following facilities on Election Day in Steinbach: 
Bethesda Place - 9am to 10am
Bethesda Hospital and Rehab - 10am to 11am
Rest Haven Nursing Home - 11:15am to 12:15pm
Bridgepark Manor - #330, 340 and 340B Stone Bridge Crossing - 12:30pm to 2:30pm 

RM of HANOVER

Voting will be done for RM of Hanover Reeve and Councillors, as well as Hanover School Division Trustees for their Ward.

Note: Some RM of Hanover residents will have the option to cast their ballots at several locations, but you may only vote once.
