It's been quite a turnaround for Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.

From 2003 through 2005 the Museum averaged nearly 10,000 visitors a summer.  This summer, nearly 24,000 visitors have already walked through the gate.  Executive Director Gary Martens says the high numbers can be attributed to the fantastic weather and lack of mosquitoes.  He is anxious to see how this will impact their bottom line.  About 1,000 visitors are expected Monday for the annual Fall On The Farm.  The event will feature plenty of entertainment and a number of demonstrations incuding a hog butchering bee, threshing and flour grinding.
