Steinbach Family Resource Centre (SFRC) has brought back their scavenger hunt once again this year.

Joanne Dalton from SFRC is very excited to kick things off, as this is a widespread event in the community, there are huge prizes, and everyone can play.

“Our grand prizes are worth over $5000 and it's completely free to play.”

How to Play

Dalton explains how the scavenger hunt works.

“We have a game board that is going to have 20 different locations around our community and you're going to go to that location,” she says. “You're going to find the feature that we have at that location, and you're going to complete a task.”

She notes you won’t know what the task is until you’re at the location.

“We're really trying to make it a little bit tricky, a little bit fun, and especially for those people who like to have a bit of a mystery to the game,” she says. “And every time you complete one task at one location, you are entered to win one of three amazing grand prizes.”

To prove that your entry has been completed, you enter it into their website, post your photo on social media, and tag SFRC on either Instagram or Facebook

To get the game board, visit their website steinbachfrc.ca, where you can print it off.

Entries must be posted between Feb. 1-20, 2023 to be eligible.

The scavenger hunt starts on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Dalton says this is a great activity to do with your family, and the best part is that entering is absolutely free.

“We're in the middle of a deep freeze. We know February can be a very hard month for people. Our sponsors make this possible for us to offer it to everyone at absolutely no cost, and there's still a ton of support going to SFRC for everything else that we're doing in the community.”
