Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate after a number of businesses along Main Street were vandalized overnight.

On Monday, at approximately 4:30 am, RCMP responded to the sound of breaking glass. Police arrived at Earls Meat Market to find one of the front windows had been smashed. Police also noted damage to a nearby flower pot. According to Steinbach RCMP, the building was secured and nothing appears to have been stolen.

Later in the morning, police observed the planters in front of the Steinbach Credit Union building had been smashed and a newspaper box thrown onto Main Street. They also discovered the Canada Post mailbox at Shoppers Drug Mart had been tipped over. A few other businesses also had planters tipped over. In addition, the front entrance window to Coffee Culture was shattered overnight and a vehicle located in the 200 block of Barkman Avenue was damaged.
