Police have released more details on the crash west of Mitchell late Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly after five o'clock along Highway 52, west of the Provincial Road 206 intersection.

RCMP arrived to find one car in the north ditch and the other car was facing south in the westbound lane. Both had substantial damage to their front ends.

Police say the car in the ditch had one occupant, while the other car had three occupants. All were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Police say road conditions were slippery at the time of the collision.

The investigation continues.
