The Southeast Truck Show is going on in Steinbach between Canadian Tire and Co-op from 9AM to 8PM this Saturday. All proceeds are going to Steinbach Community Outreach/Today House, Soup’s On, and Agape House.

Organizers, Bill and Edna Shroeder, explain the inspiration behind the fundraiser.

“Our daughter worked for YFC in McGregor years ago and she didn’t raise quite enough funds for her to get paid fully there. So three years ago we just tried to get a couple trucks together and we ended up with 44 trucks and a couple of bands and we raised $10,000 for different charities. So we kind of enjoyed doing it so we figure we do it again.”

This is now their second year holding the fundraiser. They wanted to hold it for the past two years but were unable due to COVID.

They are looking forward to having guest speakers from all three charities this year, as well as performances from the Jake Brakes at 11 AM, and Young & Haggard at 4:30 PM.

There will also be raffle draws, grand prize draws, bouncy castles and face painting.
