Two men from the southeast were rushed to hospital following a crash this morning near Portage la Prairie. 

According to police, the single vehicle rollover happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1. STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the scene at 9:10 am. 

Police say the crash involved a 35-year-old male driver from La Broquerie and his 19-year-old male passenger from Mitchell. 

According to STARS, the passenger was airlifted to Health Sciences Centre (HSC) in Winnipeg in critical condition. STARS crews also assessed the driver on scene, who was transported to HSC by ground ambulance.

No further details are available.

According to a spokesperson at the Portage Fire Department, a third person was transported to Portage General Hospital. RCMP and STARS were not able to provide any details on this individual.
