The Eastern Manitoba Tourism Association won't get the support of Ste. Anne town council on twinning Highway 59.  A letter was sent to council asking if it would back the project.  Discussions among councillors were not against it, however, the 59 is just not a priority for them.  Mayor Robert Gosselin says the government has enough highways that need maintenance without creating another huge project.  Councillor Don Simard agrees, saying he can think of other highways in southern Manitoba that need attention before #59.
