The RCMP are investigating complaints against the Police Chief in Ste. Anne.Exactly what those complaints are, we haven't been told. But Dale Ridley with the Ste. Anne Police Commission says the complaints were initially made last year to town council. An internal investigation showed no wrong doing and council felt there was no need for further investigation. The complaining party, former Ste. Anne Constable Brian Brunelle felt the investigation was not thorough enough and took the matter to law enforcement services. So now the RCMP are looking into it. Ridley says the Commission will deal with whatever the outcome is and looks forward to putting the past to rest. He feels the department has a lot to offer and says the Commission is eager to get things moving in the right direction.
