A third person has been found guilty of the torture and death of an Adult & Teen Challenge graduate.

Gerhard (George) Reimer-Wiebe was killed in June of 2020 and two men and two women were charged with first-degree murder in connection to his killing. His body was discovered in Portage la Prairie on June 24, 2020.

On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Chelsea O’Hanley was found guilty of second-degree murder, accessory to murder after the fact, and indignity to human remains. Jonathan Narvey and Kyle Sinkovits had already pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and were sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 20 years. 

O'Hanley had testified that she was unaware of the killing or that Reimer-Wiebe's body was in her car when she drove her former boyfriend, Narvey, and Sinkovits and another woman to Portage la Prairie. O'Hanley had also testified that she had been abused and controlled by Narvey throughout their relationship.

Reimer-Wiebe was killed in a home on Alfred Ave. in Winnipeg in June 2020. His body was then taken and buried on the outskirts of Portage la Prairie. The home on Alfred Ave. was burned to the ground.

Reimer-Wiebe was an immigrant from Bolivia and lived in Steinbach before moving to Winnipeg where police believe he was living at the time of his death. He was the father of a young boy and girl. 

"Gerhard knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior; therefore, we continue to Trust in The Lord Jesus Christ for His Saving Grace," his family says in his obituary.

Reimer-Wiebe also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
