The first pair arrived at Oak Hammock Marsh on Sunday, even though the weather was still a bit cool for them.
Jacques Bourgeois says there are now hundreds of geese at the centre and he has found it exciting to see the school kids look up in awe to see the feathered friends flying in. The centre is celebrating spring with a beach party Sunday. Staff have transformed the centre into a beach atmosphere with 2 tones of sand, talking and singing parrots, a swim wear fashion show and salsa dancing. He says it's always exciting to see the geese return to Manitoba and that puts many people in the spring mood. With spring break next week, Oak Hammock Marsh is offering a number of activities to teach us about wildlife.
