It feels good knowing you are making a difference.
That's what students from Woodlawn School think about the Community Christmas program in Steinbach.  Danny and Madison, both in grade 6, want to help others who are might not have enough food to eat.  He says his donations come from surplus food at home but his sister has bought items with her own money.  Meantime Madison says there is talk on the playground about the program and what it would be like to be hungry and not have a meal to eat.  So far students have collected 3,200 food items.  Teacher Christel Steingart says this program brings a change in attitude among students.  She explains there is definitely a Christmas spirit among students when the focus is on giving to others.
