A man from Holland was in Steinbach Monday to compare the police services of our 2 countries. Jan Van Loosbroak is a member of the Dutch Federal Police Force.  In order to upgrade his training he had to visit a foreign city to compare their police services...he chose Canada.  He says visiting Steinbach was important to him because the mennonite community fascinates him and he wanted to learn about some of the challenges of policing a multicultural city.  Van Loosbroak stopped by Mennonite Heritage Village and says it reminded him of what the Netherlands must have been like 80 years ago.  He was amazed by the windmill and says the ethnic mennonite food was very appetizing.
