Enrollment at SCHS for the fall has reached 196 students which is 20 more than last year. Principal Emery Plett thinks that growth is happening because the community has come to value what they have to offer in terms of smaller classes and quality education with a Christian perspective.  SCHS has opened up a second Grade 7 class this fall.  Plett says it's exciting to see so many young people coming to their school for the first time and he thinks it speaks well for the future of their program.  There will be 3 new faces on staff this fall.  The school has hired a Grade 7 teacher, a music teacher and a computer teacher.  Classes begin September sixth.
