Zach Lansard has signed on the dotted line and is officially a member of the WHL's Regina Pats organization.

"It was such a cool experience and a dream come true," Lansard says of signing. "I'm excited to get started. (Regina) treats you so well, you're treated like a pro when you go there, it's been a great experience."

For Lansard who won't turn 15 years old until July 29th, having family to lean on throughout the process has meant the world. "They've always been there helping me. They've been a big, big part of where I've gotten so far."

Having left quite the impression at Pats spring camp, Lansard says he learned a lot about what it's going to take getting to where he wants to go. "It was great. I had a good camp with some great competition."

The lasting memory from camp will be the first time he put on a jersey with PATS across the chest. "That was pretty cool", Lansard says with a smile. "Meant a lot to wear that jersey."

Lansard will have to wait a bit before he goes to Regina. He details how this upcoming year will go for him and what he hopes to get out of it. "I'll be playing RHA Winnipeg U-18 for another year. They told me to gain muscle, get bigger, and honestly, just keep doing what I'm doing."

Signing is a dream come true but for the prospective future Pats star, he knows it's not going to get any easier and that he's ready to do whatever it takes. "Hard work begins now. That's my focus right now."
