Colton Wiebe had a goal and two assists and Trae Fast recorded the shutout as Steinbach Regional defeated the Kelvin Clippers 6-0 in the championship game of the Sabres High School Hockey Tournament at the T.G. Smith Arena.

Terran Perreault, Archer Ives, Carlos Penner, Peyton Froese and Drew Heide also scored for the SRSS.

The Sabres were perfect in the round robin.

Steinbach Regional beat the Morris Mavericks 7-1; downed Fort Frances 3-1; shaded Kelvin 4-3 and blanked the St. Thomas Aquinas 10-0.

The Sabres, who have won three straight after opening the 2023-24 Winnipeg High School Hockey League season with three losses, face the Sturgeon Heights Huskies Monday at the Keith Bodley Arena.
